Tea Party Success

We successfully raised a total in excess of £135 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The popular tea party event saw participants enjoying the home made cakes, tombola and hand knitted gifts stall.

The hand knitted gifts were the fruits of labour of the Woolston group over the last couple of months.

Great Blog

Eskimi Knits a another blog well worth a browse. It's a beautifully presented site with cute images and even some great pattern downloads. In particular I thought of Andrea one of our members when I spotted this duck face cloth design.

These care labels for handknits are bound to come in handy too:

World Wide Knit in Public Day Success

On Sunday 13th June K Factor Knitting Group hosted a World Wide Knit Celebration at Starbucks in Southampton. We had a great turn out with some interest for new members and caused a little bit of a stir with passing shoppers doing a double take.
On the day knitters got involved using our time to make squraes for the Kas Care Charity:
We had a fantastic time, the staff at Starbucks were very welcoming and watch this space for future one off events.....
